Many AliExpress air fryers ship with EU or US plugs. In Malaysia, plug type and voltage matter. This guide is general advice, not a substitute for the manufacturer's instructions.
Malaysian sockets and voltage
Malaysia uses 230V at 50Hz with 3-pin Type G (UK-style) sockets. Choose a 220V to 240V air fryer, ideally with a UK or Type G plug.
Why adapters are risky
High-watt appliances draw a lot of current. A cheap or flimsy adapter can overheat. Prefer a unit with the correct plug, or use a properly rated solution.
Approvals and labels
Some electrical appliances sold in Malaysia need approvals such as SIRIM or Suruhanjaya Tenaga marking. We cannot confirm this from a listing, so check the label on the unit and ask the seller.
Safe use
Leave space around the vents, never cover them, keep the cord away from heat, use a wall socket not a crowded extension and wash the basket gently.
Warning signs
Stop using it if the cord gets hot, the coating peels, you smell burning or it trips the breaker. Do not try to repair it yourself.
